Founded in 2011, Jax Media is a television and film production company run by partners Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Skidmore, and Brooke Posch with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and London. Jax Media has created a production model that allows talent to maintain control of their content and the results have been answered with awards and critical acclaim.

As a company, they provide comprehensive production from development through post with a highly experienced in-house production team that expertly implements the unique Jax Media model that has proven itself time and time again as a success for studios, networks, and creatives alike.

Our Team

Tony Hernandez


Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producer Tony Hernandez is the founder & CEO of Jax Media.

Tony oversees and produces all projects at Jax Media and has expanded operations internationally from New York and Los Angeles to London.

Using his two decades of producing experience he created the unique Jax Media model and produced award-winning scripted and late-night shows, features and specials including Emmy-winning Russian Doll, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee & Inside Amy Schumer, Emmy-nominated Broad City, Academy Award-winning Precious, and critically acclaimed projects such as Desus & Mero, Younger, Search Party, Work in Progress, A Black Lady Sketch Show and Chris Rock: Tamborine.

John Skidmore


John Skidmore is an Emmy-nominated producer and founding member of Jax Media who currently serves as its COO/Head of Production, where he oversees all aspects of Jax operations.

Some of his credits include Russian Doll (Netflix), A Black Lady Sketch Show (HBO), Broad City (Comedy Central), Florida Girls (POP), and stand-up specials including Chris Rock: Tamborine, John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous, Mike Birbiglia: The New One, and Bumping Mics (all Netflix).

Lilly Burns


Lilly Burns is an Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning creative producer and founding member of Jax Media.

She served as an executive producer and director on Broad City (Comedy Central) and Search Party (TBS). Burns also works as an executive producer on Russian Doll (Netflix), Desus & Mero (Showtime), and Emily in Paris among others.

Brooke Posch


Brooke Posch is a partner and President of Original Content at Jax Media where she oversees all US development both scripted and non scripted and all content coming out of Jax UK.

She was previously co-head of Paper Kite Productions and the former Senior Vice President of Programming at Comedy Central.

Brooke served as executive producer on Broad City, Difficult People and First Wives Club. She currently serves as an Executive Producer on HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show.

John Hodges


John Hodges is Head of Film for Jax Media, where he heads Jax’s feature film development and production. Prior to joining Jax in 2019, John was a founding partner of A24, where he helped oversee acquisition and distribution on some of the company’s roster of more than 70 films, which includes Spring Breakers, Ex Machina, Amy, Lady Bird, and Best Picture winner Moonlight, as well as spearheading the formation of the A24 TV department. Prior to A24, John ran production and development for Big Beach (Little Miss Sunshine).

Séamus Murphy-Mitchell


Séamus Murphy-Mitchell oversees unscripted development at Jax Media including sketch and variety. In the UK and the US, he has developed, produced and run a wide range of shows across sketch, game, panel, travelogue, late night & funny factual, including Amusical for Comedy Central UK, The Commonwealth Kid for BBC, and Almost Royal for BBC America. He produced 24 Hour Panel People for Comic Relief, The Secret Policeman’s Ball, and the BBC’s Friday Night with Johnathan Ross for five years.

Molly Seymour



Molly Seymour is Head of Jax Media UK. Since opening the London office in 2019, Molly has been building a slate of diverse and original projects with some of the most exciting new and established UK talent. Before joining the Jax team, Molly worked as a comedy producer at Baby Cow Productions (co-founded by Steve Coogan). Prior to this, Molly was associate producer to (writer/director) Richard Curtis across Red Nose Day UK and USA as well as assisting him on films About Time, Esio Trot and for the Global Goals campaign for their launch at the United Nations in 2015.

Sarah Madigan


 Sarah Madigan joined Jax Media to lead Business Affairs and Strategic Partnerships. Sarah has experience with dealmaking across content distribution, acquisitions, production, financing, and strategic transactions.

She has worked on building new businesses for traditional media companies, including MGM and BBC America, as well as for Netflix and Facebook.
